Opening up the source code to let others contribute would be really sweet!

if i build playlist, and then play something directly from podcast, my playlist is replaced by the item i played directly

On my motorola droid, the acast app is constantly updating, even though i have it set to daily at 4am. The Icon will go away, then immediately reappear as a new launch. All it says is "updating...", and when i click on it, it just opens the application.

There are some podcast feed such as http://audio.zeit.de/podcast/zeitaudio_abo.xml where only the media files are password protected. When trying to download those files, I get a "Download Excception - Dowload failed: null". I assume that the authentication currently works against the whole feed being protected?

Occasionally, I have downloads that "complete" and leave the Download Queue but are only a partial file. Even if I tell Acast to Delete the file and then select Download again, it "completes" immediately even though it's still incomplete. I am not sure whether it would be a better option to occur automatically upon clicking "download" on an already downloaded file or if there should be a separate option for "Force Redownload"

I've noticed that if a download fails for some reason, such as the internet connection dropping, it is removed from the queue. This is a mobile device - the internet connection drops ALL THE TIME. Failed items should be moved to the bottom of the queue and tried again later.

Currently the podcasts display how many days or hours ago they were published. But for some magazine podcasts that I get, they intentionally put the podcast date ahead in time in line with their publication date. This means I have a bunch of podcasts as "0 hours ago" and I am not able to sort them as easy.

It would be helpful to be able to long press an item in the Download Queue and tell it something like "Download Now" so that it would begin that specific file without affecting the Limits you set up. Currently, it appears you have to temporarily change your rules if you want to just download a particular file right quick.

After something has been played it be nice to have it removed from the playlist. That way when I have say NPR auto-queue for me when it downloads new eps, I don't accidentally re-listen to yesterdays news.

Some podcasts do not have album art in my feed. Some because they aren't formatted correctly, some because Acast probably isn't reading it correctly, and some just don't have art period. It would be nice to have custom art that can override downloaded/broken/missing art.

some videos are still in 4:3, and it would be nice to be able to scale the video to fit screen better

One of my premium Podcasts bitsundso PLUS didn't work with the Password authentication. When i try to add it, it shows the title "plus" in the bar and then nothing no error message or something else. The FAQ from the provider said it must support HTTP Authentication (Digest).
